When you buy something through a link on this site we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We choose what to feature before we check whether a programme exists for it, and we say plainly when we think something is not worth buying.

What that means concretely

Links to products on this site go to Amazon and carry a tracking tag. If you buy something after following one, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way. We have no access to what you buy beyond an aggregate count, and we cannot see who you are.

Every affiliate link on this site is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" and opens in a new tab. Links to a brand's own website, in the brand profiles, are not affiliate links and carry no tag.

What commission does not buy

A place in the catalogue, a better verdict, or removal of a criticism. We choose what to feature before checking whether a programme exists for it. Some records here carry a verdict of do not buy this, and they keep their affiliate link because you may disagree with us and we are not going to make that inconvenient.

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Ad slots are labelled, fixed in height, and placed only between major sections. Nothing is ever styled to resemble editorial content.
